Hello friends and art fans! Here’s the latest Art of Lore…
How about something whimsical this week? It’s a colorful landscape loosely based on the ancient pueblos of the Wupatki National Monument near Flagstaff, Arizona. Of course I’ve used a little artistic license (well, maybe a lot) to surround these iconic ruins with a wildly “painted desert”, but how else can you convey the spirit of such a storied land?
Title: Pueblo Lore
Painted: April 2017
Paints: Winsor & Newton Professional Water Colours
Paper: Arches Watercolor Block, cold pressed, 140lb 10″x14″
