Hello friends and art fans! Here’s the latest Art of Lore…
You may recognize the abstract, cacti-like “trees of lore” featured in this painting. I invented them over 25 years ago and have used their handy shapes in numerous scenes ever since — although never in all red before. Here they appear against a verdant canyon wall, creating a vibrant contrast of complementary (or opposite) colors that I learned from studying the still-stunning works of Vincent van Gogh.
