New sketch ~ Provence Parlor Lore

Provence Parlor Lore #1 ~ Sketch by John Klobucher

Hello friends and art fans! Here’s the latest Art of Lore

This sketch had two sources of inspiration. The first was a photograph of a dark-gray tabby cat named Mercury recently taken by my friend Jackie in her angular apartment. The other was Vincent Van Gogh’s famous painting of his bedroom at Arles in 1888.

I’m a big fan of Van Gogh (and cats too of course), so I’m eager to see how this imagined parlor from 19th century Provence translates into a watercolor. Stay tuned!
