Watercolor of the day ~ Provence Parlor Lore

Provence Parlor Lore #1 ~ Watercolor by John Klobucher

Hello friends and art fans! Here’s a little Art of Lore

I painted this watercolor in the style of Van Gogh, imagining a rooming house parlor in Arles, Provence circa 1890. It even includes miniature replicas of two Van Gogh masterpieces on the wall — a mountain landscape and a very blue self-portrait, both from 1889.

His works will always be fresh and exciting to me. I hope I did him justice.

Title: Provence Parlor Lore
Painted: February 2018
Paints: Winsor & Newton Professional Water Colours
Paper: Arches Watercolor Block, cold pressed, 140lb 9″x12″
