Hello friends and art fans! Here’s a little Art of Lore…
Once on a trip to Monterey on the northern California coast, I came upon a small historic shack in the area called Cannery Row, which John Steinbeck made famous in his classic novel. I used that shack as the basis for this watercolor, although I played a bit with the setting and color palette.
I originally painted this piece in the year 2020 and made further changes to it later in 2022.
Title: Cannery Row Shack
Painted: March 2020 and March 2022
Paints: Winsor & Newton Professional Water Colours
Paper: Arches Watercolor Block, cold pressed, 140lb 9″x12″
