Hello friends and art fans! Here’s a little Art of Lore…
Not long ago during a summer sojourn in London, I took a day trip to the mythic site of Stonehenge, the silent circle of great gray sentinels that stands watch just a couple of hours — and thousands of years — outside of the city. It was more wondrous, more moving, than I’d ever imagined. An ancient ritual dance preserved mid-step in stone on the green rolling hills.
This painting is a simple song of that place, a poem of monoliths still ablaze with the spirits of those who set them here.

Nice tribute to Stonehenge. I particularly like how the stones are illumined, glowing orange I’m guess b/c dawn or sunset.

Thanks Eric! I chose that orangy glow to convey the magic of the place, as if the spirits of those ancient people live on in the stones.
